Literacy Week is Jan. 26th-Jan. 30th. Here is the schedule of activities:
Monday 1/26 ~ "Patriotic Twist" Wear Red, White, and Blue
Tuesday 1/27 ~ "All-American Bookmark" (design a bookmark)
Wednesday 1/28 ~ "Stars, Stripes, & Stories" (buddy reading)
Thursday 1/29 ~ "Patriotic Pages" (read a historical fiction/ nonfiction book)
Friday 1/30 ~ "History Heroes Celebration" (dress as your favorite Historical Book Character)
Student Led Conferences will be a part of the "Launch to Leadership Night" on Feb. 3rd. This will be a fun schoolwide event that includes Student Led Conferences and a journey through the 7 Habits Forest. The entire event is from 5:00-7:00 p.m.. The Student Led Conference portion is from 6:00-7:00 p.m. for grades 3-4. This is a great time to come look at your child's Leader in Me binder and see your child's progress at school.
We have started to complete two minute timed multiplication tests of forty fact problems. Students are expected to pass with 36/40 correct, or with 90% accuracy in two minutes. If you haven't already, please begin to practice multiplication facts at home. Students in 3rd grade are expected to be fluent in multiplication by the end of 3rd grade.
Cellphones and devices should be "Off and Away All Day" this year. Smartwatches can still be worn as long as students are not texting on them or using them for anything other than a watch.
If you have a dismissal change during the day, please contact the front office at 377-7400 prior to 2:15. No dismissal changes will be made after this time.
If you are interested in becoming an LOE volunteer, you must complete the online volunteer application. The form must be completed to volunteer for field trips, classroom parties and celebrations, or to help in any capacity on school property. This is a process that needs to be completed each year.
ELA
