The 2nd / 3rd grade Music Concert will be at Gulf Coast High School Tuesday, March 17th at 6:30 pm. Students should be in the auditorium by 6:00, using the exterior SIDE entrance. Front doors for audience members will not open until 6:15-6:20. Hawaiian shirts and tropical wear (within dress code) are highly encouraged but not required.
Our class will shop at the Book Fair on Wednesday, March 25th.
We have our dates for our last FAST testing. Our ELA FAST PM3 will be on May 5th and our Math FAST PM3 will be on May 12th. Please try to avoid making appointments on those days so students do not need to complete make-up testing with people they are not familiar with.
We have started to complete two minute timed multiplication tests of forty fact problems. Students are expected to pass with 36/40 correct, or with 90% accuracy in two minutes. If you haven't already, please begin to practice multiplication facts at home. Students in 3rd grade are expected to be fluent in multiplication by the end of 3rd grade.
Cellphones and devices should be "Off and Away All Day" this year. Smartwatches can still be worn as long as students are not texting on them or using them for anything other than a watch.
If you have a dismissal change during the day, please contact the front office at 377-7400 prior to 2:15. No dismissal changes will be made after this time.
If you are interested in becoming an LOE volunteer, you must complete the online volunteer application. The form must be completed to volunteer for field trips, classroom parties and celebrations, or to help in any capacity on school property. This is a process that needs to be completed each year.
